To both Deenagh & Myself, it is a sad thing that at this time of year Thousands upon Thousands Of fir trees are cut down ( KILLED ) just to be brought indoors and decorated with ugly bits of Plastic. And; within a couple of weeks, they are just dumped in tips, grass verges and pockets of woodland. To us it is far better to decorate a Living Fir Tree or a FAKE Tree ( if you are unable to get access To a real Fir Tree ) with natural objects. When the celebrations are finished the tree can be returned To its natural state, and is STILL Beautiful, Healthy and above all ALIVE.
The tree can be decorated with Natural objects, such as painted or plain Pine Cones, Fruit, Jewellery Symbols of Fertility { for a Fertile Year Ahead }, Symbols of the Sun { for the return of light }, Birds & Other animals.
