JUNIPER BERRY. Juniperus communis. A nice smelling oil. The essential oil is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY and it should always be diluted with a suitable carrier oil such as Sweet Almond Oil before applying to the skin. Keep it away from children and pets. It is non-toxic and non-irritant but with possible sensitization in some individuals. Do not use if pregnant. ABORTIFACIENT. Use for acne, bronchitis, cellulitis, eczema, hysteria, incense, obesity, respiratory ailments, rheumatism, skin ailments, stress, women's ailments. (Also known as Canadian Juniper, Juniperus communis variety depressa, Common Juniper, Juniper). There is a Juniper Wood version made from berries, twigs and needles. Used in Angel Therapy to stimulate the Third Chakra (solar plexus) for confidence, courage, power, self-esteem, achievement, emotional stability, and heightened awareness to one's surroundings.

KUKUI NUT. Aleurites moluccana. High in Linoleic essential fatty acids with vitamins A, C, E absorbed through the skin. EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Useful for psoriasis, a penetrating oil and when smoothed on the skin it soothes and softens sunburns and irritations. In Hawaii new born babies were bathed in this easily absorbed oil. It has a reputation of being excellent for the treatment of superficial burns, chapped skin and some minor skin diseases. This oil is high in Linoleic acids, which are essential fatty acids vital to the metabolism of healthy skin. These organic fatty acids cannot be synthesised by the body, but must be acquired from dietary sources. Kukui Nut oil is readily absorbed by the skin, providing those tissues with essential elements.
