A Pause in the Breath of Life
Silence like a stalking cat, Creaps up, unanounced and unbidden. Street lights shine like hundreds, Of imprisiond stars; static, petrafied.
No breeze blows; no animals stir, A pause in the breath of life. The silence hangs suspended, Awaiting the next inhale.
In subtile gentalness thoughts stir, Unwilling to break the silence og nothingness. The emptyness between heartbeats, Like a death shroud; covers all.
The hawk snaps aside the curtain, As it calls mournfully for its mate. Silence shattered, And a new breath is taken. |
