On the first night { or as soon as possible ) after the baby is born, or the same night as the birth. The mother & father, or midwife if she is a close friend of the family or a relative, should take the baby out under the stars, the child should be first up to the sky saying:
O' Lady of the starry heavens,
Wise all Father.
behold this lovely child ( say the chosen name of the child )
Conceived and brought forth in Love. |
